We are seeking applicants who are exceptionally motivated, innovative, that can work independently within a collaborative team setting. The ideal candidate must have a PhD degree and background in Systems Biology, Bioinformatics or Computational Biology. Candidates must have strong programming skills in at least two of the following languages: C++, Java, Perl, R, Python or Matlab. Previous molecular biology experience is highly desired.
The main goal of the Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases (CRID) is to advance the pathophysiological understanding of inflammatory diseases. To accomplish this goal, CRID team applies state-of-the-art tools to recognize and to understand the molecular, immunological, pathological and pharmacological mechanisms involved in inflammation; to develop pharmacological and immune therapy tools; to search for diagnostic markers and prognostic clues; and to apply this knowledge to design and synthesize new molecules for treating inflammatory diseases.
The post-doctoral fellow will develop pipelines for the analysis of high-throughput assay data (mostly RNA-Seq and microarrays) and use systems biology approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms of inflammatory processes.
